INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Join dozens of fellow Tahoe citizens at the annual Incline Community Blood Drive on Friday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Incline Village Recreation Center gymnasium.
Blood donation is a strong example of a community’s response as a whole to the needs of a few of its members. All the blood needed for surgeries and disastrous accidents comes from volunteers like you, and the supply needs continuous refilling.
All blood types are needed. To schedule an appointment, visit www.bloodhero.com, using the sponsor code “inclinerec” or call Cherry Barney at 775-832-5058. Walk-ins are also welcome.
All donors, 17 and older, are welcome as long as you are healthy the day of the drive.
Raley’s has donated breakfast items for morning donors, and Mofo’s is donating pizzas at midday and homemade cookies in the afternoon.
Blood donors can now save lives and time by completing on online health history questionnaire By filling out the online questionnaire before coming in to donate, donors will likely reduce the in-person interview to only a few essential follow-up questions.
Simple instructions can be found via the “Health History Questionnaire” link on the United Blood Services website http://www.unitedbloodservices.org/.
After completing the health history questionnaire the donor will print out the Fast Track Donation Ticket and bring it with them to the blood drive or donor center.
The questionnaire must be completed the day of the drive.
