55+ Hiking Series
Join IVGID Senior Programs every Tuesday, May 3rd – October 25, 2016 for guided hikes to beautiful Lake Tahoe locations. Meet at the Recreation Center Lobby.
Days/Times: Tuesdays, 9:00am – 2:00pm* (some hikes require more time)
Fees: $13, $10 w/IVGID Pass

May Senior Trip
Wednesday, May 25th, 11:30am – 2:30pm – Thunderbird Lake Tahoe: Explore historic Thunderbird Lake Tahoe! Docent-guided tours take visitors on an hour and 15 minute walk through the stone mansion and grounds to reveal the mystery and legacy of the enigmatic George Whittell, Jr.
Legend springs to life as you discover the Lighthouse Room, Old Lodge, the servant’s quarters with original kitchen, as well as the 600’ underground tunnel leading to the cavernous Boathouse. In the Boathouse, see where the legendary wooden speedboat, Thunderbird, built for Whittell in 1939, once resided.
Fees: $56, $45 w/IVGID Pass (includes transportation & admission)
55+ Senior Transportation Program: Scheduled & On Demand
Catch a ride with the 55+ Senior Transportation Program! The suggested round-trip minimum donation per senior (55+) rider is $5.00. All reservation requests can be made by contacting the Recreation Counter at (775) 832-1310 and require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.

Digital Photography Club
**Please note that regular club meetings have moved from the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month to WEDNESDAYS, still 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at Aspen Grove, 960 Lakeshore. Please bring recent photos, either digital or prints, to share and discuss with the group, and any questions you might have. Discussion led by Jim Markle. Dessert will be available for a suggested donation of $1.00. See you there!

The Incline Village/Crystal Bay Veteran’s Club
The IV/CB Veterans Club monthly general membership meeting is Thursday, May 26th, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Meet at the Chateau for lunch, camaraderie, and special guest speaker, Nic Danna, with a presentation about Veterans’ legal affairs.
The Club will host a Memorial Day Ceremony and Reception to honor fallen heroes on Friday May 27th, 4:00-7:00pm, at the Recreation Center. Join local Veterans for this special event. Wine and appetizers provided.
Summer Moonlight Hike w/ Wine & Cheese Social
Our first Summer Moonlight Hike of the season will be held Thursday, May 19th at 6:00pm. These moderate, 1-mile, paved road hikes to the Crystal Bay lookout are offered in collaboration between with the National Forest Service. Participants are encouraged to wear warm clothing and bring a flashlight.
Transportation, wine, cheese and snacks are provided. Sign up and enjoy the views, friends,
refreshments and fun! If you would like to participate, but are unable to hike either or both ways, you may ride the van either or both ways and enjoy the party!
Bowling Nights
IVGID Senior Programs wants YOU for some friendly competition at Bowl Incline! No experience necessary. Teams are randomly formed each week. Be prepared to have fun and get some exercise too!

Wednesdays at Bowl Incline, 918 Southwood Blvd.
